Having led several Gen AI projects focused on finance services and insurance, Alberto will discuss critical security scenarios AI teams need to protect against and the potential guardrail approaches that can be implemented.

Alberto leads Citi’s design and construction of Gen AI platforms, driving initiatives to develop and productionise AI solutions. Previously, Alberto was Co-founder and CTO at Humn.ai (acquired by Aon), which provided real-time streaming analytics and AI-based risk exposure prediction for commercial fleet performance, enabling clients to make better decisions to reduce accidents and lower the total cost of risk.

Drawing on examples from AI solutions used to combat money laundering, terrorism, and criminal networks, Dan will cover topics such as: the growing reliance on large pre-trained general purpose models; the evolving role that markup data plays during model commissioning; and the implications of running ever larger model sizes and the impact on compute resources.

Dan Saunders is the Data Science Team Lead at Ripjar, a company at the forefront of developing AI products for crime intelligence. He has extensive experience in both data science and product development, with expertise in applying advanced AI techniques to tackle complex challenges in data analysis. Prior to his roles in industry, he completed a PhD in Physics at CERN, where he applied AI to enhance data experiments at the Large Hadron Collider.

With more than 20 years on the front-lines of AI and leading-edge technology deployments, Pieter will share practical strategies for driving real financial impact through AI implementation.

Pieter leads the product and technology teams in building CloudFactory’s AI Data Platform, helping AI teams get out of the lab and into the real world. Previously, Pieter was CTO at Ocrolus, responsible for scaling its human-in-the-loop AI document processing product. Prior, he was at McKinsey & Co, advising clients on AI strategy and co-authoring many of the firm’s AI research studies.
