Mark Sears
Founder & CEO
After doing tech startups in Canada and the US for about 10 years, Mark has spent the last 3 years living in Nepal and discovering the amazing talent in developing nations. His unique blend of technology and business experience is helping him lead the charge in developing CloudFactory into a disruptive platform that creates work for 1 million people. He started his career with Sun Microsystems before joining a startup and helping the 5 person team grow to 130 employees across 4 international offices after raising $48 million in capital. Mark then raised angel investment, launched and managed his own startup company for 6 years before coming to Nepal and starting the CloudFactory adventure.
Tom Puskarich
VP Business Development
Tom is passionately telling the world about CloudFactory and growing the volume of work flowing through the factory. As he helps our early partners integrate cloud labor, he represents their feedback to the product development team ensuring CloudFactory evolves into the ultimate cloud labor platform. Before CloudFactory, Tom was a Senior Solutions Engineer at Adobe Systems and a Lead Consultant with Autonomy where he travelled the world designing forms and document processing solutions for clients such as the US Department of Justice, Fedex, Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Philip Morris, Merrill Lynch and the British Ministry of Defense.
Laurel Sears
VP Finance & Admin
As a Chartered Accountant of Canada, Laurel is navigating the financial side of the Hong Kong and Nepal corporations while also giving leadership to the administration side of the company. She started her career in public accounting with Collins Barrow before moving to the University of Calgary as a Senior Financial Analyst. This is where she received the opportunity to move overseas and gain international finance experience as the Director of Finance at one of the university's international campuses.
Alana Puskarich
VP Field Operations
Before developing training material and overseeing our first cloud workers in Nepal, Alana started social enterprises in India and then Nepal after 13 years in television, a majority of it producing documentaries for Discovery and the National Geographic Channel. In 2005, Alana moved to India and started a micro-enterprise business with impoverished women called "Azaadi Creations." (Azaadi means freedom in Hindi) In 2009 she moved to Nepal with her husband to start an online transcription company where they found a need for an elastic workforce and joined the CloudFactory adventure.

Our core team is made up of some of the most talented young people in the world. More than 25 of our 40 employees are Ruby on Rails rockstars and we all live and work in beautiful Kathmandu, Nepal. They are the team that is making CloudFactory a disruptive technology that changes the way the world works.
