Our leadership combines decades of experience from Adobe, Sun Microsystems, Disney, Google, eBay, Motorola, JBoss, EarthLink and others. We've traveled and worked in over 30 countries with our initial focus on Nepal and Kenya. We are old enough that we have the experience to pull this off, but not too old to believe the people who tell us it's impossible.
After doing tech startups in Canada and the US for about 10 years, Mark has spent the last 4 years living in Nepal and using his unique blend of technology and business experience to develop CloudFactory towards creating work for 1 million people.
He started his career as a software developer with Sun Microsystems before finding his groove in the world of startups. Moving into technology evangelism and product management roles he helped a 5 person startup grow to 130 employees across 4 international offices after raising $48 million in venture capital. Mark then raised angel investment, launched and managed his own startup company for 6 years before coming to Nepal and starting the CloudFactory adventure.
Todd brings over 15 years of enterprise sales leadership to CloudFactory. His career has focused on finding new ways to use and share some of the most disruptive technologies on the planet. Prior to joining CloudFactory, Todd served on the leadership team at mobile security pioneer Good Technology Inc. after helping to take the company private from Motorola in 2009. Over the next 3 years they grew the company from 30 to 600 employees and $100+ million in annual sales. During his career he has forged significant partnerships with the likes of Dell, CSC, IBM, HP, General Dynamics, AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.
Todd leads our US offices out of Durham, NC and has a heart for seeing the world of work transformed. He holds a B.S. degree from Cornell University.
Cary brings to CloudFactory 23 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a particular love for fast paced, high-growth, international technology-related companies. JBoss was a technology startup with a distributed workforce spanning the globe. As the CFO at JBoss, Cary raised capital and participated in growing the company from $1 million in sales to $17 million in 30 months, culminating in an acquisition by Red Hat for $370 million. PaySys provided enterprise systems from offices in Johannesburg, Melbourne, Singapore, London, San Juan, and the U.S. As the Chief Accounting Officer for EarthLink, Cary participated in growing the company to $1.4+ billion in annual sales. Cary loves an adventure; and if an adventure does not exist, he will create one; he is not the stereo-typical CPA.
Cary began his career in audit with Ernst & Young in Atlanta, Georgia.
John was born and raised in Seattle, studied acting in college before discovering his excitement for web development. He did front and back-end web development work for 10+ years at Genex in Los Angeles, where he worked with clients such as Honda, Acura, KB Home, Warner Bros, and Better Homes and Gardens.
He loves jQuery passionately, but not as much as he loves his wife Rachel and sons Isaiah and Ezekiel. After recently moving, John and his family are excited to make Nepal their new home. John enjoys film and television, baseball, American football, and silly addicting games like Angry Birds.
Prior to joining CloudFactory, Karmath held leadership positions at two of the top software outsourcing companies in Nepal after returning from the US where he lived with his family for over a decade.
In the States he was an Engineering Contractor at Google Inc and also worked at eBay Inc. as Senior Manager of Internet Marketing Solutions. Karmath holds a degree in Bachelors of Science in Computer Science & Mathematics from Metropolitan State College of Denver.
Before joining CloudFactory Evan was working with Professionals International to provide business training and coaching services throughout the developing world. Entrepreneurship, teaching university level business courses, life coaching, construction, consulting.... if there is something that needs to get done, he's probably done it.
Evan's work has taken him to Mexico, Cambodia, Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Haiti, Morocco, Burkina Faso, and now Nepal. As VP Impact, Evan is focused on measuring and optimizing the social impact and the business impact of CloudFactory and its stakeholders.
Robina oversees the global workforce, which means spreading CloudFactory's effort to transform the way work gets done all over the world. She uses her approach of "getting things done" to support growth, create happy faces and execute on building the best workforce in the world. She believes in people power and desiring the best for every single cloud worker motivates her.
Robina has a diverse work experience from banking to venture capital and from education to social sector. Prior joining CloudFactory, Robina was the Head of Production at Incessant Rain Animation Studios where she oversaw all studio operations including the production of several animated and live action features, TV series and games for Disney, Columbia Pictures and Sony. She enjoys reading, traveling and art; and desires to travel the world some day.

Damian brings more than 15 years of experience in R&D, technical services and product management. He joined CloudFactory from Kaltura where he was the Director of Product Management for MediaSpace and Social Business (SBS) extensions. In this role, he productized multiple application and services on top of the Open Source Kaltura Online Video Platform.
Prior to Kaltura, Damian headed the Application Performance Management (APM) product line in BMC Software. Damian joined BMC following the acquisition of Identify Software, where he was responsible for building and scaling the professional services organization and help Identify Software's customers optimize their development and support procedures using AppSight Application Problem Resolution. Prior to that, he led a development team back in Israel that worked on automating the support process for end-users via the web using the AppSight technology.
Robert is a multi-talented, multi-lingual man of mystery - many would say a true renaissance man. He worked at Adobe as a Senior Engineer and Walt Disney as a Technical Architect.
He authored a popular technology book and his "Penner easing functions" are a defacto standard that power numerous animation libraries used by millions of developers around the world (jQuery, Adobe Flash, Flex, etc). He brings passion for TDD, Pair Programming, Beautiful Code, and Scrum to his leading of technology efforts at CloudFactory.
Courtney Wilson is our Director of Demand Generation. He has spent his career on both sides of the sales and marketing divide with a relentless focus on bottom line results. His passion lies at the intersection of marketing, sales, technology and entrepreneurship. Courtney is responsible for leading our marketing team in the U.S. and Nepal in making sure CloudFactory's innovative solutions and message of social impact are known around the world.
When Courtney's not focused on CloudFactory's marketing initiatives you can usually find him spending time with his wife Amanda and their two beautiful daughters Izzy and Finley, preferably in the great outdoors. Traveling the world is another passion he holds dear, making CloudFactory's global mission and focus a perfect match.
Jason brings to CloudFactory 6 years of project management experience for one of the largest commercial builders in the world and 14 total years of experience in the construction industry. He excels at the chase of bringing in new work and figuring out how to “make it happen” when it doesn’t look like expectations can be met all the while managing a multitude of differing projects. In his last position, he managed the growth of key account revenue by a multiple of 50 in 3 years.
He was raised in Eastern North Carolina and loves his wife, two kids, pork BBQ, offshore fishing, and the latest crazy adventure of moving across the world.
Bikash is not only a major technical leader at CloudFactory but he was also a key inspiration for the company back at the very beginning. Seeing his raw talent and passion for software engineering, Mark started to teach him Ruby on Rails four years ago and today he now mentors and guides our whole engineering team on a daily basis.
He is an internationally Certified Scrum Master (CSM) who loves Ruby, Rails, agile development and will never regret the decision to leave .NET development many years ago.
Kailash is responsible for formulating CloudFactory's product strategy and driving its execution. In this role, he keeps a tab on the industry, envisions new ideas, and works with our engineers to turn these ideas into winning features for our platform and clients.
With 7 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, he still finds time once in a while to hack together some code (mostly big data and machine learning related stuff). Kailash is extremely passionate about startups and firmly believes in the power of technology to not just disrupt industries but also transform the lives of everyone in the planet.
Bikash (nicknamed "Kaji") started his career with a South African "green" hosting company where he played in the primitive world of telnet much of his days and nights. Before joining CloudFactory, he was juggling three jobs, but never got drifted far from a terminal screen.
He came from the System Administration side but after joining CloudFactory, Bikash became more and more involved with the development side of things and whole new world of DevOps. He currently handles all server related decisions while maintaining scalability, reliability and resilience for our factory in the cloud. He likes hanging out with friends and watching movies of different genres.
Paul was an early employee in the CloudFactory US office and is a key link between our Sales and Solutions teams. His role requires deep understanding of client needs and determining how to best leverage the power of CloudFactory's platform and people to achieve accuracy at scale.
Before joining CloudFactory, Paul worked for IBM Global Business Services as a project manager for large enterprise software implementations. Paul is PMP certified and has an Economics degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. He loves music and actually toured as a singer/songwriter years ago. Though setting out for a record deal, he’ll tell you he landed something even better in the process - his wife Keri.
Operating at the nexus of Sales and Solutions, Philip works out of the CloudFactory US office in Durham, NC. He is thrilled daily to engage his zeal for turning business process demands into transformative solutions for clients. In this role, Philip brings to bear 10 years of consultative technology experience in sectors such as finance, treasury operations and software development.
Prior to joining CloudFactory, Philip led projects at SunGard Consulting Services for clients including TIAA-CREF, Wells Fargo and the US Treasury Dept. Philip began his career with the Vanguard Group after studying finance at Appalachian State University. An inveterate tinkerer and serial interest-hopper, Philip holds most dear his coffee, bike, and wife Hillary and son Harrison – not in that order.
Sarwagya manages clients and internal teams to ensure successful setup, integration and management of projects at CloudFactory. He jumps back and forth from email, basecamp, wireframing, data analysis, task form design and software development with little effort.
After working at a major tech company in Nepal, Sarwagya joined us 4 years ago and has been a major leader in the company ever since. He is an internationally Certified Scrum Master (CSM) who loves using his technical, communication and project management skills to contribute to the development of his country.
Sunil was born and raised up in Nepal. He has over 10 years of experience teaching in colleges and being an Editor for a reputed book publisher. His days of being a teacher helped him build life-long friendships with students across Nepal from varied backgrounds.
Now he spends his days managing, training and mentoring our exploding workforce which also includes many college students and recent graduates. He is passionate about his faith in God, beautiful wife and son, and music (he's an avid composer too!).
Balakrishna was born in Nepal and raised up in India. He started his career in Quality Assurance with Wipro Technologies for three years. He had been associating with enterprise software clients including the Government of India and banking clients such as Capital One.
A year ago, he returned to Nepal to join CloudFactory as QA Manager. He is already enjoying the challenges and exhilaration that a start-up like CloudFactory generates. Balakrishna loves reading. He's not sure about beers and dogs, but books, he feels for sure, are man's best friend.
Susan has experience working in multiple companies in the US and Nepal before joining CloudFactory. As a Production Manager she is overseeing the production and relationship with key clients as well as developing and optimizing solution implementations on CloudFactory.
Food is Susan's passion. She love travelling, music, books, movies and outdoor activities. Her best moments are the ones spent enjoying food and wine with friends and families, listening to music while travelling.
Safal started out as a Software Developer and worked for a company that developed banking softwares in Nepal. After working with .Net technology for two years, he then joined Sprout Technology Services as a Software Engineer and was involved in developing web applications using Ruby on Rails. Currently, he is working as a Production Manager in CloudFactory Solution Department. His role include owning and managing project's business rules, accuracy, communication, finances and throughput.
Safal is a music enthusiast and loves playing many musical instruments. He is a coffee snob with a dash of sense of humor.
Kabin is a fun-loving person who loves the rewards and challenges of a dynamic workplace. As HR Manager for CloudFactory, his role is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of talent and continue to grow the culture and values that will lead us to success. He is thrilled to be a part of a groundbreaking vision that defines success as much more than economic success.
Kabin got his MBA from Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall, Minnesota. Prior to joining CloudFactory, he was working as Talent Acquisition Specialist at a recruiting firm in Kathmandu. He loves to travel, experience new things, and make people laugh with his great sense of humor.
Leah has wide experience in financial management and business operations, having worked in a number of industries including clearing and forwarding, export, farming and Business Process Outsourcing.
She has a passion for helping people achieve their potential, grow in leadership and gain financial independence. This interest and her initiative led to the connection and relationship with CloudFactory. She was our first contact in Kenya and has been instrumental in setting up our Kenya office. Being an entrepreneur at heart, CloudFactory has been a perfect fit for her, and she loves the fact that she is part of the team that will bring change and opportunities to Africa and the rest of the World. Currently, she is taking care of all the administrative operations at our Kenya office.
Bardan embarked on his tech career as a core team member of AfterPinkSlip, a social networking site for pink slip holder. As an Engineering Manager at CloudFactory, he mentors his fellow developers and participates in feature brainstorming on a day to day basis.
Without a doubt, Bardan is enthused when it comes to coding but besides that he thoroughly enjoys playing football.
Shishir started his career with a Delhi based video-portal startup where he worked in the whole workflow for video editing and metadata processing. At CloudFactory, he runs a scrum and is responsible for coordinating with the development team and other teams to design and implement new features in one of the core products of the company.
He enjoys reading books and sometimes writes Gajals as an expression of his thoughts and feelings. Following every kind of cricket game is something he is passionate about where he finds the associated numbers very interesting.
At CloudFactory, Bishnu leads a group of engineers to make sure that product development runs smoothly. Apart from mentoring and training the engineers, he himself writes a lot of code and enjoys solving complex problems.
Bishnu holds an MS degree in Computer Science and has been actively working in the tech industry since 2008. When he's not working, he likes to watch movies, sports, play cricket and football and most importantly spend time with his cute little daughter.
Shreeya in her capacity as Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for leading the marketing team in Kathmandu and oversee project execution in all aspects of marketing and sales in line with the vision of CloudFactory. Prior to joining CloudFactory, Shreeya worked at Verisk Information Technologies for almost 7 years where she juggled multiple roles. She considers project management and process management her key fortes which she hopes to put in best use in her new role.
She holds MBA in Technology Management from AIT, Thailand and EBS, Germany. In her spare time, she enjoys learning new languages, reading books and exploring history.
